Apprenticeships are work-based learning programs that help workers gain skills on the job, and allow employers to create uniform standards of education for staff. They are an efficient way for employers to grow their talent pool and  build a sustainable workforce These programs allow Oklahomans to earn a living while continuing their education and securing skills for the future. Hundreds of employers across Oklahoma have launched apprenticeship programs with the help of the Oklahoma Office for Workforce Development’s technical assistance, grant funding and recruitment for workers seeking apprenticeships.
